Core Values

Church Acadiana is all about helping people far from God become fully devoted followers of Jesus.  But once you get to know us you’ll see that we’re probably different than the churches you’ve known in the past.  Our core values explain why.

We are family-integrated. Dividing families at church is counterproductive to reaching the next generation. We keep families together and equip parents to teach their kids at home. Parents are the key to discipling children.

We are civically engaged. Evil prevails when good people do nothing. We are active participants in local, state, and federal government. Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction.

We worship with passion. Many Christians display more excitement at a football game than at church. We sing to God with joy and enthusiasm. God is worthy of our highest praise.

We pursue personal holiness. Many Christians are conforming to the world. We strive for personal holiness in every area of our lives. Holiness pleases God and blesses us.

We spend daily time with God. Many Christians only pray and read the Bible at church. We make it a priority to start each day in prayer and Bible study. A daily quiet time is the foundation of a vital walk with God.

We love each other deeply. If nobody knows you, then no one can care for you. We want every member involved in a Home Group. Home Groups enable us to love each other the way that God wants us to.

We prioritize evangelism. Without Christ, people spend eternity in hell. We strive to win the lost at any cost. Nothing trumps evangelism.

We preach with boldness.  Many Christians are confused about God’s will. We fearlessly apply God’s word to the controversial issues that Christians deal with today. The preacher’s job is to give God a voice.

We make a big deal out of Sunday.  If we are not ready for company on Sundays, newcomers will not return. We want to put our best foot forward every Sunday. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

We care for the needy.  There are needy people all around us. We want to devote ourselves to good works for pressing needs. Pure and undefiled religion is to look after orphans and widows in their distress.

We don’t leave unity to chance.  If we can’t get along, then we can’t get things done. We are intentional about protecting the unity of the church. Unity is both unnatural and fragile.

We are focused on better, not bigger.  The easiest way to attract a crowd is to compromise with God’s word. Our focus is on growing in health, not size. A focus on health enables us to seek what is best rather than what is popular.
