Bible Drill

Bible Drill is one of the best tools available for parents who are serious about teaching their kids about God.

Church Acadiana’s primary ministry for children and students is Bible Drill. Bible Drill is for students in grades 4-12. It involves memorizing key Bible verses, and learning to navigate the Bible quickly.

The Bible Drill season is from September through May. At the beginning of the season students are given a special Bible for Bible Drill, along with all of the materials for memorization. The students meet as a group about once a month with the Bible Drill Director, and then work on their own in between. Toward the end of the season, students will compete in three competitions, (Church, District, and State), each one more challenging than the one before.

By the end of the season, students will be able to…

1. Recite twenty-five to thirty verses from memory.
2. Look up any book of the Bible in under 8-10 seconds.
3. Look up any passage in the Bible in under 8-10 seconds.
4. Explain the plan of salvation from memory.
5. Know where to locate ten of the most important passages in the Bible.
